Our Work
Since its inception in 1994, the Center for Collaborative Education's work has focused on a vision of equitable, democratic learning environments in which all students can thrive. Our current work focuses on four strategic program areas: District and School Design; Instruction and Assessment; Research, Evaluation and Policy; and Leadership Development. In these areas, CCE works directly with educators and other professionals in schools, districts and states to increase educational access and opportunity, with particular attention to groups that have historically been underserved and whose voices have been largely absent from education and policy discussions: students of color, low-income populations, and English Language Learners.
Collaborating with fellow educators.
We work in partnership to reach common goals and focus on continuous improvement.
Using data to instruct our work.
We gather and analyze real-time student data to guide the design of curriculum, instruction and assessment programs.
Promoting change at all system levels.
We use our experience in the field, combined with research and evaluation, to inform education policy and inspire excellence in teaching and learning.
Building leadership capacity.
Our work supports educators and administrators to become change agents and apply their skills to ensure equity and close achievement gaps.
